Repair or Replace That Window?

See what's actually failing — and whether it's worth fixing — before you spend a dollar.

What's Going On With Your Windows?

  • Foggy or cloudy glass
  • Water or stains near the frame
  • Drafts you can feel
  • Hard to open or won't stay up
  • Condensation between the panes
  • Cracked or hail-damaged glass

Repair or Replace? Check what applies

Assess if you have fog or moisture between panes, leaks or water stains when it rains, hard to open or won't stay up, noticeable drafts, problem on more than one window, or windows 15+ years old.

Our Typical Recommendation

Usually Repair: single failed balance, one broken latch or sash, one isolated leak with a clear fixable cause, a damaged screen.

Usually Replace: multiple failed seals / fog across several windows, chronic leaks or water intrusion, 15+ years with recurring problems, builder-grade units failing on comfort + seals.

What We'd Do If These Were Our Windows

If just one window's seal failed, we'd repair that one — not sell you a whole house. But if the glass is fogged across several and they're 15+ years old, we'd replace the units rather than chase seal repairs that won't hold.
